Information for complainants
All complaints about a breach of the code of conduct standards are made to the General Manager, except complaints about General Managers which are to be made to the Mayor. General Managers deal with code of conduct complaints other than those relating to councillors, conduct reviewers and council administrators.
General Managers and Mayors are encouraged to resolve less serious complaints about councillors and the General Manager informally. Where this is not possible, complaints are referred to an independent conduct reviewer for assessment and resolution and, where they are serious, investigation.
