What must I do if the location where my restricted dog is ordinarily kept will change or has changed?
You must inform the local council, for the area you intend keeping your restricted dog, that you will be keeping your dog in its area. This enables the local council to ensure that you will comply with all control requirements for restricted dogs and issue you with a certificate of compliance, certifying that you dog's enclosure meets regulatory requirements.
If you own a restricted dog and the location at which your dog is ordinarily kept has changed, you must inform the local council, for the area your dog has, until now, been ordinarily kept (even if the location at which your dog is now ordinarily kept is in the same council area). You must do this as soon as practicable after the change of location, using a Change of Owner/Details (C3A) Form or a Change of Address Notice (C3C).
